That age old question...

If you could have a dinner with two people, living or dead, who would you choose?

I can now rule out two.

This thread is an IMDb message boards classic, a good enough reason they should never have closed them.

To answer the question at hand, I would like to have dinner with Clint Eastwood and John Williams.

Hitler and Einstein.

Socrates, Jesus, Shakespeare, Balzac...

Is it two people or four? I'll meet in the middle and pick three.

Are there rules? If I pick, say, Julius Caesar and Hammurabi, does my final seat have to be reserved for a translator? Besides that, I'm a little worried that if I pick too clever a bunch, I’ll be left out of the conversation altogether. What do I even have to say that Einstein, Aristotle, or Mozart could give a damn about?

I finally settled on Thomas Jefferson, whom I’d ask to give his opinions of modern day politics through the eyes of a framer of the Constitution, Douglas MacArthur, as he would definitely have some exciting war stories, and Takeru Kobayashi, just to see how much he would eat.

Charlie chaplin, gilda radner who would be accompanied by Gene wilder.
