Was he even able? I can't remember if there was ever anything that alluded to this or not. Also, did Mindy have anything to do with Mearth's conception? Or did Mork's alien race just spontaneously lay eggs like he did without benefit of a partner? Anyone know if this was ever explained?
shareIn the episode, Three the Hard Way, it was strongly implied that the egg was the result of Mork and Mindy mating. Mork tells Exidor that it's possible he may be pregnant, because an Orkan and Earth person had never mated before. Later in the episode after Mork shows Mindy the egg, she exclaims, "You mean when you and I ... and here it is?'

In a season one episode, where Mork lets the prisoner go free, he's asked if everyone on Ork talks 'like that', and Mork answers: "We don't have sex, we have to do something" (I am paraphrasing).
This sort of nullifies that possibility.

shareFred became a grandfather so yes. They retconned the 'not having sex' to spice things up. But this wasn't the needed direction for the show. Either that or Winters wasn't the right person. Yes he was Williams's favorite actor. But just bc, it doesn't mean it's a good idea. They needed to have rethought this.
shareI always thought it was creepy watching a grown man playing as a baby. Although Winter's can be very entertaining, I think the character was just wrong for the show. I think that also marked my decline in interest for it.
shareagree re the wrong character. Remo and Jeannie as a couple vs brother and sister would have been better. They are NY's sent to 'observe' life in Boulder Colorado. Mork learns that there are earthlings who are 'new' to an environment. Mork and Mindy pal around with them.
