Better than Halloween?

I have all the Halloween movies on DVD, except 2018. So I am in no way disparaging the Halloween movies.

But, if I had to chose which movie I preferred out of the 1974 Black Christmas and the 1978 Halloween, I'd go Black Christmas. Just personal opinion.

Nah. Halloween. I've seen Halloween countless times. I only saw black Christmas once. And don't really have the urge to watch it again.

I like the movie, but nope.

The correct answer is: Yes.

Black Christmas was DEFINITELY scarier and more disturbing than Halloween. Those creepy phone calls, the dead bodies wrapped in plastic in the attic... Chilling! Halloween was much less frightening, more like a story told by teenage girls at a slumber party. The best thing about Halloween was John Carpenter's musical score.
