Not on TV this year????
Is it true Apple TV is not going to let the networks have it this year? They've threatened it before but caved in.

According to this article (linked below) it will only be shown on Apple TV+ in 2023. Apple gained exclusive rights in 2020 but PBS was allowed to air it that same year and again in 2021. The PBS broadcast was commercial-free so I'm glad I recorded it on DVR.
Another holiday tradition ruined thanks to corporate greed.

I very rarely watch over the air TV anymore and I can always watch the special on dvd. That's enough for me.
shareI never watch any holiday specials on broadcast TV. Over the years they've been edited, time-compressed and tampered with. Just so the networks can run more commercials.
I have most of these programs either on DVD, DVR or on my computer. That's the only way to view these.
I like the Garfield Christmas Special and after watching the Nostalgic Critic's review of the special on youtube I didn't realize when it initially aired it was edited in a few key scenes. Thankfully I have the dvd with a longer run time.
