Bullitt ('68) vs. Heat ('95) Final Scenes

Both films end with night scenes on airport runways. Both great scenes, but the Heat finale is more emotionally powerful. Makes me wonder what Frank Bullitt would've thought of Vincent Hanna. Knowing Bullitt, he probably would've said something like...Why's this guy yell so much?

reply

Heat ripped of Bullitt with that scene. I knew it right away

reply

She did (Judd) have a great ass though.

reply

Pacino's face in that scene always makes me laugh. It almost looks like he's about to say "big" but then says "great."

"Because she's got a...GREAT ASS! And you're all up in it!"

reply

Every guy must have cracked up or at least smiled on hearing that. My only complaint with Heat was it only had a very quick 1 or 2 second shot of Judd's superior posterior.

reply

First time I saw Bullitt I had never seen Heat. I rewatched it last night and I noticed it. Huge rip off.

reply

Two of the best cop films ever made. Michael Mann was obviously a fan of Bullitt.

reply

Literally just watched it for the first time last night & that was genuinely my first thought as well.

I'm like hey, this is the ending to Heat.
