Ginger or Mary Ann?

Why have to choose just one of them as the frogs would say a ménage à three.

reply

Ginger...love all the evening gowns.

Shag Ginger at least once, then settle down with Mary Ann.

It's interesting how Mary Ann always wins hands down in these polls, but also very predictable. In terms of looks, I'd personally pick Dawn Wells over Tina Louise, but that's just my particular taste; others may differ. If nobody had ever heard of the show, and you showed people pictures of the two actresses, I'd expect opinions as to which was the more desirable to be split pretty much down the middle.

People pick Mary Ann because almost everyone realizes Ginger would be high-maintenance and difficult to have a relationship with, while Mary Ann seems to have that flexible, giving, generous personality and good nature that would make her a far more congenial companion. The polls might show very different results if Ginger looked like she does in the show, and Mary Ann had been played by a homely actress, but looks being about equal, the more likeable, relatable personality wins it for Mary Ann.

Mary Ann was smarter than Ginger, which counts for a lot. You could have a real conversation with her.

reply

Mary Ann because she is more down to earth and has more of a girl next door vibe to her, plus I hear Tina Louise is a total b-tch in real life.

As Peter Brady said "why I think yo are Ginger and Mary Ann combined!"

reply

Mary Ann

What an interesting question. I wonder why no one thought of asking this before?

The fans actually answered the question back in the 60 & 70s. Dawn Wells got much more fan mail than Tina Louise did.
