They were way too accommodating to her. Should have just called the police. Or had Sam...etc permanently turn her into something. I am sure Abner would never have minded.

shareBack than it did. My friends parent still left their door wide opened and tv on when they left the house, just a few years ago. So its not uncommon.

share I grew up in a small town. A lot of people would knock on a friend's door and then just walk in, usually calling out, "Hey Mary, are you home?"
It was just the usual custom that people announced themselves and walked in. But in the case of Gladys Kravitz, she just sneaked in. But mostly she peeked through the window to spy on Samantha. If I was Sam, I would've keep the curtains closed all the time.
However when Gladys was accompanied by Abner, they always knocked. He wasn't a snoop like she was.
I liked him.
