The last scene.....

I loved this film! I've watched it many times. The last scene is hilarious.

Nothing funnier than a car being dragged out of a swamp with the punctured, mouldy and naked body of a beautiful woman in the trunk.

"Hilarious"?

I believe that he is referring to the Simon Oakland scene explaining Norman's crimes.
Roger Ebert was not a fan of that scene.

That scene used to get a lot of talk and debate around here. Its called "the psychiatrist scene" for short, or "the shrink scene" for even shorter.

I'm on the side of the debate that finds the scene great, just long enough, and very necessary. I am in a minority.

I recently read on the internet that some sort of "pirate website"created "the Roger Ebert version of Psycho" , in which the shrink scene is simply removed. This version was created when Ebert was still alive, and evidently he wasn't crazy about seeing his recommendation actually implemented.

I agree. I like that scene myself. Plus without it you wouldn't really know why Norman Bates killed Marion Crane. Or why he tried stabbing Lila. Frankly I wouldn't watch that cut where the scene where the Psychiatrist explains everything is deleted.
