Just saw it on the big screen

It was really cool. Now ive seen all three versions of "King Kong" on the big screen!

Awesome! Not sure what made me think of it but for some reason I was in the mood to watch this last week and ended up buying it on Amazon. Great film and a good one to catch on the big screen, I'm jealous.

Hopefully you heard it on a great sound system. Max Steiner's score was (and still is) an absolute work of art! Many years ago I saw it at a small store-front revival theater in Nashville, and the proprietor installed a new sound system for that particular film (and kept it for others that followed, of course.)

I think there is more than three versions.

I am wildly jealous! I missed a chance to see it on the big screen about ten years ago and have always regretted... this has been one of my favourite films since childhood and one of a handful that I MUST see in the cinema one day.

I miss "revival house" movie theaters. There were three in the town I grew up in, they all went out of business when VCRs became popular and people could watch classic movies at home.

I probably saw "King Kong" there, I absolutely saw "Casablanca" without any of the distractions of home, and "The Wizard of Oz" with an audience that was so into it that they hissed the WWW every time she came on. Good times, young 'uns!
