I like Kaepernick; he stands up for what he believes in and tries to make an impact; in a world featuring many self-involved individuals, I find him as a refreshing change. Kaepernick could play too, even if his NFL career fizzled out.

I don't worry to much about Cuba; now, if I was an American fella visiting Havana in the late 1950s, yeah, then I'd have questions and concerns. With social media these days there's more of a forum, and Kaepernick used that forum (and his status as a public figure ) to represent something. I don't believe he was out to overthrow culture as we know it or to be subversive just for the sake of it.
