shareIn light of the news that's come out regarding Weinstein..I'm finding it pretty hard to believe he didn't schtick it to Lawrence and yeah she complied...so in her case she went along with it. She's admitted to liking older men..Also why out of all the women he compulsively came onto would she be one he didn't try it on with. For that fat pig, it was about power and those willing got rewarded..big time.

1. His MO was to approach vulnerable young actresses who needed a break. The one and only time she worked for him, she had already received an Oscar nomination and had secured two high profile roles in two popular franchises, including a lead role that was among the most sought after in the business at the time. She needed nothing from him.
2. She got the role from a Skype audition that David Russell loved. He was the one who told Weinstein to hire her. This is will known.
3. Look at her personality. She is not a shrinking violet, but a strong minded, outspoken alpha who has been very up front about her feminism. She would not have tolerated abuse, especially when you consider that she was already becoming a powerful star the one time she worked with him.
4. She has said there was no abuse directed at her. Being one of the biggest movie stars in the world, she has no reason to lie.
Basically, when you look at the facts, your belief in a conspiracy theory to hide an affair or abuse makes zero sense. Do you have any evidence to contradict this judgement?
1. lots of actresses receive Oscar nominations and then disappeared into what happened to them oblivion.
Hollywood actresses needed him..Even Selma Hayek as huge of a star as she was felt pressured by HW...so her franchise movies didn't make her safe from not needing anything from him..considering before the scandal he was the most powerful person in Hollywood. In fact that would make her more of a prize conquest for HW.

3. everybody in Hollywood knew about HW...and they all kept quiet because he wielded that much power.
4. you have got to be kidding. She'd lie because by not lying everyone would be retching from nausea. and she'd look bad by association. it would also involve endless probing and how could she from the media.
She has no motivation to reveal it. She certainly doesn't need the publicity and, if it was consensual, it's not really even news. It's not like it's going to help Harvey's reputation at this point for her to say "we had a relationship but he didn't force me".
