Love this lady

Warren is a little unconventional, I'll grant that, but nowhere near Donald Trump or even George W. Bush. She is a normal person, but she is informed and understands what is wrong with America these days.

She or Bernie will make a great President. I am impressed with the legislation on taxes and other things she has proposed. This country would get a lot better under an Elizabeth Warren administration.

Thank you for being here. Enjoy your beer.

reply

She's not going to be president.

reply

Who will be? (please don't say Donald J. Trump)

reply

I suspect it will be Trump. The investigations are useless at this point because even if evidence of wrongdoing is revealed, Trump will pardon himself and create a legal quagmire. And Trump and putin could have sex on live television and dittos would still vote for him because they have no free will. Republicans have to support him or take a black eye. Democrats still don't have their act together, they have no leadership, and their candidates are either geezers or perceived poorly. As long as the economy is fine, Trump will likely win reelection because he's been fairly benign.

reply

He could try to pardon himself but no I don't expect that would ever hold up in court because I don't believe there are five justices on the Supreme Court who believe a president is above the law. Very few lawyers actually ascribe to the Unitary Executive theory. A president is not a king.

Trump barely won last time. It's not about persuading his base who of course will reflexively vote for him. It'll be about persuading independents last time who were on the fence or didn't vote to turn out because they didn't like either candidate.

reply

The pardon doesn't have to hold forever and there is a good chance the next president would pardon him to end the circus and stop the media from focusing on Trump.

If the democrats want to beat Trump they have to convince the country he's doing a bad job, how can they?

reply

If he tried to pardon himself it would spark such an immediate constitutional crises it wouldn't hold more than a week before getting resolved by the Supreme Court. But you're probably right that Pence would play stooge enough to pardon him. But it should come at significant political cost to himself. When Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon his approval rating plummeted 32 points and he never recovered politically before cruising to defeat in spite of the strong economy. Pence is not Trump and could never inspire Trump's base like Trump. I can't see such a weakling biblical stooge taking the mantle and having any chance at all.

The economy is doing well but as I'm sure you know, that's not really because of anything he's doing when he sits around and watches Fox News while tweeting all day aside from starting trade wars and undermining NATO that is. If enough dirt is uncovered I don't think the public has as high of a tolerance for corruption as you seem to think.

reply

He would pardon himself, I don't believe he's bluffing about that and I doubt it will be resolved quickly because impeachment is not going to be quick. There are 3 branches of government, Trump is one of them, don't underestimate that.

Everyone except dittos already know that he lies 22x/day, is a swindler, and that he benefited from foreign influence in the election, we knew that before the election and he still carried enough states to become president. About 30%+ of blue & white collar America (dittoheads) are brainwashed into believing that "lieberals" are literally trying to destroy the United States and they are absolutely terrified. And unfortunately for Democrats, most of that 30% are voters. Democrats have about 30% of America as supporters but many of them do not vote. So if the Democrats want to win they need a leader to inspire young people to get out and vote the way Obama inspired people. So far I'm not seeing that leader. And if Democrats keep cozying up to people who are being perceived as men haters and racist against whites, they are going to lose even more support.

reply

Well yeah he'd have to be successfully impeached before he'd be in position to try to pardon himself and getting 24 Republican Senators to get to 67 votes in the Senate to impeach is never going to happen. Speculating on if he'd self pardon was always a pipe dream.

It's just so early I don't see how you think you can draw any meaningful conclusions this far out. Of course the Dems are going to look disorganized two years before the general election. The primaries are still 9 months away and most people barely know anything about the candidates except Bernie.

reply

Not gonna happen.

reply

Dear god I hope you get the flu on Election Day. Lol.

reply

Haaaa, my sentiment exactly.

The kind where you can’t get out of bed and contribute to the leftist destruction of America.
