b) a lack of fossil fuel that will cause the complete collapse of society killing billions through starvation and leaving the rest crawling around in a post apocalyptic Mad Max type world.

people love their internet and 5G but dont understand how much electricity is needed to power the infrastructure to keep it running.
there are thousands of data centers and cell towers all around the world that is needed for the internet. all this equipment is drawing power from the grid.
