Huh, no posts for this awesome actor. I love him in everything. I just watched Small Town Crime and it was a nice little film and Hawkes was great in it as usual.
My favourite film from him is Too Late. Another great little film that not too many people have seen, I highly recommend it. Underated actor for sure.
Those have been in my watchlist for about 6 months. Glad to hear they're good. I've always really liked his work.

Have you read the book? In a way, in the book Teardrop was even more menacing. But like you said, tough as nails but scary as hell.
