Stern interviewed Biden Friday morning, April 26, 2024

I left the identical message on Howard Stern's page, but in the interest of completeness:

In a surprise show, Howard Stern interviewed President Biden this morning. For those who like Biden and have read about his personal and professional history, it was nothing new. But for listeners who do not know Biden very well (or did not like him), hopefully, it gave them a fresh take on the kind of guy Joe is.

Even if people don't subscribe to Sirius, I hope they will seek out this interview on YouTube and other streaming services. It was an enjoyable hour.

Stern wanted to interview Hillary Clinton when she was running against Trump, but she refused. Big mistake! His interview with her after she lost was excellent. It humanized her. She was likeable and funny as well as down-to-Earth and intelligent. She talked about dating Bill which was interesting. Stern made the entire interview available for free on youtube. I hope he eventually does the same with Biden's.

Biden is smart for agreeing to an interview. Stern is one of the best interviewers around.

Right now, you can listen to the interview on Sirius for free if you sign up for 3 free months.

edit: Stern's wearing a business suit. That's a first!

The White House is probably regretting allowing Biden to go on Stern and for agreeing to a debate with Trump knowing Biden is going to be steamrolled and he will too..

reply

I think Trump will refuse to debate Biden. By Joe saying that he would debate him anytime as he did in the Stern interview, it made him look strong. The ball is now in Trump's court.

reply

He had to say that because if he had said anything less than agreeing to this, he'd look weak for Christ sake.. This is a disaster for Joe Biden and whether you like or hate Trump, the man can debate and is stronger than Joe Biden.. If anything, this will be Cathartic for Trump in unloading on Biden for how shitty the United States of America is under this man

reply

I think all Joe has to do is say, "Look folks, let's not even focus on the cases that have yet to reach a verdict. Just look at what's been determined as a matter of law in the four years since this man left the White House while, at the same time, I've been working my tail off for the American people. We know that a jury of his peers found him liable for defamation because they believed E. Jean Carroll when she said he sexually assaulted her in a department store dressing room. We know that he was found personally liable for [x] hundred million dollars for his corporation's unpaid taxes. We know that he could afford an appeal bond in that about until the judge reduced the bond requirement by [x] million dollars. Ladies and gentlemen, if you elect this man he would be the first president who takes this job because he actually needs the salary."

reply

How does he need a salary doofus when he just walked into $6.5 Billion dollars for his Truth Social, ala DJT going Public?? Do your fucking homework before posting nonsense like this and when he was President, he took no salary, which is something no President has ever done

reply

Good. Then he can pay the judgment the IRS obtained against him for his part in under-reporting the value of his corporation's assets to the federal government. I'd rather he get the money from a successful IPO than selling his soul or state secrets to the Russians or the Saudis.

reply

whether you like or hate Trump, the man can debate

Thats up for debate.
I certainly recognize that he can shout over people and , ignore points , bring up other irrelevant and probably untrue crap to derail the process and can dominate a discussion/debate that way .

But actual debating skills? and rational argument?
I doubt it.

All true, Keelai. I was so happy Biden and his advisors didn't make the same mistake Hillary Clinton and her camp made in 2016. I was a really glad Biden agreed to the interview because it made him look good. I already knew his history, but if it reached those who did not and he can garner votes in November, it will be a truly worthwhile hour.

reply

That interview didn't move the needle at all and America still has the same perception of Joe Biden before the interview as well as after: He's done in November

Rogan is more famous than Stern. Better interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZi-bJ5YDqg

How scripted was that interview....

Thanks again

You're welcome Heisenberg. Honestly, I knew I was going to bring out the 'slowly I turn' crowd reporting the interview, but in case there are some undecided voters (or fans of either Stern or Biden) I wanted them to know check it out.
