I've seen some clips of him in his movie appearances, and it seems like Steve Austin (as an actor) studied tapes of himself as Stone Cold Steve Austin to prepare for his film roles, because he acts just like Stone Cold Steve Austin. He doesn't seem to play other characters. Kind of a one-note performance.

I've only ever seen him in the Universal Soldier (#?) and he did alright but the character was very one dimensional so probably not much of a challenge.
