that and they pinched her face to tighten away any wrinkles resulting in a joker smile (a la Meg Ryan).
It doesn't help that she likes to drink a lot of alcohol which has dried out her skin. She use to have a radiant body and even though she keeps it fit to an extent, the dehydration from alcohol and smoking counters the effort to look young.
Plastic surgery of some kind, I find her appearance distracting.

When I first saw Carol Burnett after PS she looked hideous.
Seems like with time she's looked okay as her face became accustomed to what was done to it.
When your career depends on your appearance and appeal and you have the resources to tap that well of extended youth, undergoing the knife seems like a natural decision.
The result might be a throw of the dice, but there ya go !
Yes, I agree. Seems like faces sometimes “settle” or relax months or years after surgery. But they don’t always. Meg Ryan’s surgery seemed to have ruined her face initially but it is improved of late - possibly due to further, corrective surgery. But, IMO, she and many others would have been better off leaving their faces alone. It’s a shame that the outcome of plastic surgery isn’t more predictable.
