Always loved his music - especially with the Tijuana Brass

I shall play Rise today in his honor.

Before my time, but I like a few of his songs. He gave the Carpenters their big break, although I was a kiddie then, I still love their tunes! It is also cool that he and Lani Hall have been married for almost 50 years! She sang with Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66. I hope fate is kind next year when he hits the big 90!
