I watch this movie like once a year.
I really wish he would have had like a cameo in some ridiculous comedy.
But I guess he is too cool for that.
He didn't have any problem directing ridiculous comedies - Stir Crazy, the notorious Bill Cosby flop Ghost Dad - but yes, he didn't seem interested in making appearances in them. He had already worked with Stanley Kramer so I wonder if he was offered a role in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World?
