How did his voice get HIGHER as he aged?

People's voices get lower and deeper as they get older. If you hear his voice in The Karate Kid, it was deep. Now, in his 50s, his voice is HIGH. He sounds like a teenager. What gives??!

From all the times he would be practicing the crane kick on one of those piers and miss the landing and racked himself.

I didn't notice that myself (Have to check later). However he was a full grown man in KK, not actually a teenager. His voice was already fully developed and shouldn't have changed much at all.
