Is she too old to be the new Little Mermaid?

I hope they cast her as Tiana's mother in a The Princess and the Frog live-action remake.

You may already know by now, but apparently it isn't Halle Berry, but some young singer/actress named HALLE BAILEY. I originally thought it was a CGI image of a young colored mermaid with Halle Berry voicing her. But no, it's some unknown singer/actress named Halle Bailey. Don't worry, I'm honestly convinced half the population still thinks that 56 year old Halle Berry is playing the little mermaid, LOL.

LOL, I also legitimately thought it was Halle Berry for a while.

If it really had been her I probably wouldn't have cared because she is actually a good actress.

I made this mistake too. I never heard of Halle Bailey before she was in the Little Mermaid

Unless mermaids don't have a life expectancy of late-fifties, and unless characters from Danish fairy tales aren't negresses, then why not?
