Are there any other "big name" actors like Bruce Willis that had a very tragic and surreal end to their careers?

The one that immediately comes to my mind is Bela Lugosi ending his career by starring in Ed Wood movies.

Annette Funnicello was a former Disney Mouseketeer and died from MS. It was such a sad ending just look up videos of her on YouTube.

Ray Milland. Great film career and ended up doing low budget horror and TV episodes.

David Niven had to end his career due to ALS.
