Hasn’t been in a movie in 12 years

Say buh-bye to the washed up, over-esteemed Lakers fan.

Here’s a dopamine hit on the house my guy.

reply

Well he is 85. Even if he is over-esteemed, doesn't he have a right to retire?

reply

I work in a charity shop with an old woman of around 83 years old and she absolutely works like the clappers, running around, keeping herself occupied 100% for hours... even if her back aches like mad. She just cannot stand the thought of sitting around idle. She says she's worked all her life, and my main thought of her is "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak".

reply

What does that have to do with Jack Nicholson? Seriously? Some people want to keep working, some people when they retire volunteer. Some take up hobbies. In the last year or so hasn't it been reported that he has dementia? So why should he have kept working, while at the same time go to Bruce Willis's board and see how people are angry at his family for supposedly "forcing" him to work.

reply

Calm down, I was just citing an example from someone I know of a similar age. But regardless of mental deterioration or not (and she is a bit forgetful) old people who can do so feel the need to keep working just so to keep busy and not feel redundant or useless. If Jack Nicholson wants to rest, then let him, he certainly has the money to fall back on. And I did not know that Bruce Willis's family were forcing him to work, that is unfair in lieu of his mental deterioration.

reply

I am calm thanks.

I have no idea if Bruce Willis's family is forcing him to work. For all I know Bruce wanted to work for as long as he could manage to feel like he had a purpose. I'm talking about the comments on his page, and how people here need to make everything into a negative. If I misunderstood the intent of your comment than I do apologize to you. With what you said in this last comment we are in agreement.

I have a feeling that the Jack Nicholson we remember, the Jack Nicholson who is even capable of making a movie, no longer exists.

reply

He actually stated publicly a number of years ago that he needs to retire because he could no longer remember his lines. Very sad!

reply

He could just read them from cue cards like Marlon Brando.

reply

Remember that I warned him about doing that.

You have been warned.

reply

He was a great actor. There will never be anyone like him in Hollywood.
