What ever happened to this dude that turned him into a hated man now

Yes I know about the whole Caitrona White scenario but before Carrey was the most hilarious man on the planet. He starred in hit after hit and seemed to have it all back in the 90s. Now fast forward to the 00s and now his not the Jim Carrey that I grew up with. Now his a deranged asshole who lied about having an STD and not giving White any pills and people are like saying hey this guy should be locked up in jail for his problems.

Sighs and I was a fan of this guy. I miss the old Jim Carrey. Cause the new Jim Carrey is an idiot.

The difference between then and now isn't just Carrey. It's you. You've grown up in the intervening years, and he has not. He's still the same obnoxious, whiny pratfall jagoff that he was when you, as a child, thought he was funny.

How many years elapsed between his heyday and the girlfreind scandal ,- ten? Twenty?

His career slowed down a lot in the intervening years, but if he made fewer films during that time, I don't know if that was his choice or Hollywood's. I suspect it was largely his.

The 00's? You mean the 2010's. Jim Carey career was totally dead by 2010.. Mostly his choice to work periodically rather than consistently and to take bad roles when he did. The break down stuff didn't begin to happen until 4 years ago. Now it looks as though he may be suffering from the effects of HIV by the looks of him.. not to mention the rumors.

He lost his mind like all aging comedians. I've yet to see one keep their shit together. Even Jerry Seinfeld is a lunatic now, prancing around like an emperor. George Carlin became a total angry asshole. Whatever it is that makes people funny makes them insane when they're old.
