I did Stage Plays in High School, I did the Method Acting when trying be St.Thomas Aquinas in Godspell musical by looking Monks of the time. I don't get it don't we want Actors to give there best performances on Stage as well and screen? its a tool as opposed to Actors acting like themselves IE Dwayne Johnson,Jason Statham, Liam Neeson ,Gal Gadot And Jennifer Aniston.

A bunch of actors have said that it helps them get into the role.
But the majority of the ones that get coverage are actors using "method acting" as an excuse to be an asshole to their fellow cast & crew.
I dont think its *always* controversial , but when it is i bet its usually because it involves you being a total dick to everyone around you when the cameras arnt rolling
