Ambiguous movie endings

The following used source material from books (one from a comic book), which may have contributed to the ambiguity:

A Clockwork Orange (1971) - I have not read the book, but from what I understand, the novel’s ending offers more hope. Kubrick ditched the last chapter which gives the film’s ending a more nihilistic view of the main character’s fate.


Shoutout to the 1 Second Film (2008). The first half-second, I’m on board, but it lost me with the second half. But the credits were all right; some highlights, some notable names there….

I just finished watching Late Night with the Devil. Not only was the ending ambiguous, it made no sense to put that twist in there. Was he framed? Is that what happened?
