reply

I like Mulroney and Holly Hunter is super cute!

reply

Agreed, and agreed

reply

I ALSO DOUBLE AGREE.

reply

I don't remember Dermot Mulrooney ever being this young.

reply

Point of No Return was a few years before this.

Did you ever see Where the Day Takes You?

reply

I don't think so, but I have seen Point of No Return. It's crazy how memory works, I forgot what he used to look like and always picture him as he is now.

reply

I don't think Where the Day Takes You was a popular movie. It's got a decent cast though.

reply

Check out Young Guns from 1988, he has been around and quite a good performer for a long time. I always liked the guy.

reply

I used to read a lot of true crime books. Now I'd rather hear about the victims and nothing about the killers. I understand why they need to be studied, but the Frighteners taught me that we don't need them competing with each other. 😊

reply

I can't handle true crime, unless it's about a bank robbery or something. Murders and all that other stuff I can't do it, mostly because how sensationalized it is, which is really bizarre.

reply

I remember getting a book about The Hillside Stranglers when I was in Jr High, and being told that I was too young to read it. That happened to me a few times in my life.

I recently found a horror story that I wrote in Elementary school where the lunch lady who took away my copy of the novelization of Friday the 13th part 2 away, got murdered over and over again.

reply

THAT...IS...AWESOME...!

SHE IS DEAD NOW I AM SURE.

reply

I was going to read it for Grown Up Reads Things They Wrote as Kids, but if I had mentioned my age, someone may have carted me away for being disturbed...

What can I say, I liked horror from a young age.

reply

I WISH I HAD THE THINGS I WROTE AS A KID...SIXTH GRADE...MISTER SANDFORD MADE US A WRITE A ONE PAGE PAPER EACH NIGHT ON A RANDOM TOPIC HE WOULD THROW OUT...HE ALLOWED ME TO BE GOOFY AND GROSS AND OCCASIONALLY VULGAR...WE READ THEM OUTLOUD EVERY AFTERNOON...I QUITE ENJOYED THE REACTIONS I GOT...KIND OF THE SAME SHIT I AM STILL DOING..RIGHT NOW....I WISH I STILL HAD THOSE PAPERS.

reply

That's awesome!

I wish you still had them too.

I have a book that my grade 6 class wrote for our graduation to JR high. I am still friends with several of those classmates so it was fun to send them what they wrote.

reply

MY PARENTS KEPT ALL THE PAPERWORK AND SCHOOLWORK AND PICTURES IN A CABINET THAT SUFFERED RAT,FIRE AND WATER DAMAGE OVER THE YEARS...PLUS NEITHER OF THEM HAS ANY ATTACHMENT OR CONNECTION TO OBJECTS OF ANY KIND...SO THE THINGS I HAVE FRM MY CHILDHOOD ARE RANDOM AND MOSTLY IN NASTY CONDITION.

reply

WILL PATTON IS A GREAT AND UNDERRATED ACTOR.

reply

Agreed. I was surprised that after this and Armageddon he didn't have a bigger career. I mean he's been in a lot of things, but just never really an A lister

reply

HIS ROLE IN THE POSTMAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN A BIG DEAL...BUT THAT FILM FIZZLED.

reply

He and William Sadler from Die Hard 2 should get together and do some squats in the park.

reply

Sigourney Weaver used to annoy me. I have no idea why. Now I think she's a stunning woman, and I really like a lot of her movies.

reply

Everyone in this movie has really great smiles.

reply

It is a fine cast.
Smiles are a bonus. I’ve been told my smile is ugly but I can’t help it, I’m very ugly.

reply

I highly doubt that

reply

Picture the Irish maniac from Braveheart but with way less hair and slightly taller…Yeah, I’m no looker😆

reply

I've never seen braveheart

reply

It’s actually a terrific movie, I know Mel has some baggage but goddam, he makes good movies👍

reply

I've seen bits and pieces as my brother loved it. I loved 90s Mel, but it just wasn't my type of movie.

reply

I SECOND THIS...I HAVE SEEN BRAVEHEART EXACTLY ONCE...I LOVE MEL...BUT BRAVEHEART IS JUST NOT MY STYLE.

reply

You don’t LOVE Braveheart?!?!?

I feel like we don’t even know each other anymore Bro…😢

reply

HISTORICAL STUFF IS TOUGH FOR ME...I PREFER THINGS SET IN A CONTEMPORARY SETTING...OR THE WILD WEST...I DIG THAT TOO.

reply

I ALWAYS PICTURE BRIAN POSEHN.

reply

Not far off and about as ugly as me but I’m not a fatass.

reply

TO BE FAIR...I AM PICTURING BRIAN CIRCA 2005 OR SO.👍🏾

reply

I don't believe it. I bet you are better looking than me.

reply

Internet speeds were always so quick in movies in the 90s. I understand that we don't really need to wait for a video to load, but I find it funny. I love Hackers, but that's another great example.

reply

The computer nonsense in this movie IS really silly but it’s nearly thirty years old.
I kind of find it entertaining and I dig the cast as dumb as it all is.

reply

I think it was a pretty good thriller. I miss 90s thrillers. As well as some of the black comedies, (I hate that term as I mean dark) that came out then.

reply

THE BONE COLLECTOR IS ONE THAT ALWAYS COMES TO MIND...VERY SIMILAR TO THIS FLICK.

reply

ALI AND I WATCHED VERY BAD THINGS THE OTHER NIGHT...I HAD TO TALK HER INTO IT...BUT SHE ENDED UP LOVING IT.

reply

Has she seen Shallow Grave?

reply

NEGATIVE.

reply

I loved that movie. It introduced me to Ewan McGreggor. I know we only had it at my theatre for like a week, but I did see it in the theatre.

reply

FUNNY YOU MENTION IT...I JUST RECENTLY REWATCHED IT...UPGRADED MY VHS TO DVD.

I LOVE LETTERBOXD...NOVEMBER 23 IS WHEN I WATCHED IT.

I LIKED IT ...MUCH MORE THAN WHEN I WAS A KID AND WATCHED IT...SOLID FLICK.

THERE IS A TON OF OLD DEBATE HERE ON THE ULTIMATE FATE OF EWAN'S CHARACTER.

reply

I think he's alive, but that's just me. I also think that Arnie really went to Mars

reply

I THINK HE DEAD...BUT I DO THINK ARNIE WENT TO MARS.

reply

I have flip flopped on the dead part, but I did read an interview with Boyle who said that he wasn't dead, so I'm going with that. I can't find it now, nor can I find my comments on that board.

reply

I READ BACK AND FORTHS FOR A LONG TIME AFTER I FINISHED THE FLICK...BOTH SIDES MAKE SENSE...PRETTY COOL HOW MUCH CONVERSATION CAN SPRING FROM ONE LITTLE FLICK.

reply

I really like it. It’s kind of silly but I’m happy to shut my brain
Off for a decent thriller.

Yeah, there were a ton of goodie thrillers in the 90’s.
