Cillian Murphy wins best actor, as I hoped and predicted.

reply

As expected, Christopher Nolan deservedly wins best director.

This makes me happy. He deserves it. Oppenheimer was a brilliant film. Glad he can finally call himself an Oscar winner. He has his fanboys and his haters who are both way over the top and ridiculous, but he’s been consistently putting out quality work for decades now, and I said after I saw Oppenheimer, “if he doesn’t win for this film he’s never going to win an Oscar.”

They used to have someone doing sign language in the corner of the screen. Closed captions took over.
Why do they have this one, no images of awards at all. I just saw a south asian man with earrings wiggling his fingers!

Emma Stone wins her second Oscar for her fantastic performance in Poor Things. I was predicting Lily Gladtsone, but Emma Stone is a deserving winner.

Oppenheimer wins best picture as I predicted!

I got 16/23 right. I'm happy with most of the winners, even the ones I got wrong.

I thought he was just okay. I hope they get some different hosts in the future.
