King Kong is an obvious answer, but what other films take a long time before they bring in the star?

Frances McDormand is the lead in Fargo, but doesn't appear until the 33rd minute. The total length in 98 minutes.

Bruce Willis in The Fifth Element. Don't know the exact time but it's a while before he appears.

And I don't know if this counts but it takes like an hour before Batman appears in Batman Begins.

LOTR...12 minutes into the movie before you actually meet Frodo.

Beetlejuice too if you consider Micheal Keton the main character.
