She was also younger than Bea Arthur who was supposed to be her daughter.

Interesting Trivia:
They used makeup so Estelle Getty would look older. Sometime during a summer break, she decided to get some cosmetic work done. As a result, they had to use more intensive makeup so she would look the same as earlier seasons.
