Any tv series/movie series you 'nerd out' over?

Meaning you know it back to front, quote it, can dispute things, find fault, discuss whether or not something is "canon"?

I'm thinking Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, James Bond, etc.

the twilight zone

reply

I could probably quote most of Fletch, Vacation and Hackers.

reply

Columbo - I've seen every single episode of the entire series, some several times.

reply

Ah yes I'm a Columbo fan too and totally nerd out over it. I can't believe I forgot to mention this one.

reply

I used to really enjoy the original CSI, based in Las Vegas as well. Gil Grissom was a great nerd! 😁 I remember binge watching a lot of those episodes one weekend but can't confidently claim to have seen each one as with Columbo. I'd be thrilled to discover one I've missed.

reply

I LIKED CSI TOO...I DROPPED OUT SOMWHERE AROUND CSI MIAMI SEASON TWO.

reply

I got sick of CSI Miami also, mainly because of David Caruso's portrayal as the quasi-cool Horatio Caine. He wore the same 3-piece black suit in every episode, as you can see here https://moviechat.org/tt0313043/CSI-Miami. I mean, who dresses like that in the sweltering Miami heat? And then there was the constant putting on and removal of the dark shades for supposed dramatic effect after a line of dialogue. 🙄

reply

CSI MIAMI'S BEST PIECE WAS RORY COCHRANE.

reply

Agreed 100%! Now he was genuinely cool. Aww man, the episode where he was killed blindsided me and broke my heart.

reply

I love Columbo a lot and have also seen all episodes several times, but I can't say that about the post-1970s ones, I don't think I've seen every one of those.

reply

The Sopranos and It's always sunny in Philadelphia

reply

It used to be Star Trek TOS and Next Generation but I've seen them so much I can't really watch them anymore. I'm getting to that point with Seinfeld as well, I've seen them more times than Star Trek!

Upstairs, Downstairs and The Tudors I also find difficult to watch due to the number of times I've watched before.

I've noted before I'm a fan of several 1970s British miniseries and you could say I nerd out over them
I, Claudius
The Six Wives of Henry VIII
Elizabeth R
Fall of Eagles
Edward the Seventh

Quote from? Probably the king of those is Scarface and Goodfellas.

Curb your enthusiasm

Beverly Hillbillies

Green Acres

That's it.

reply

The Twilight Zone.

reply

The score for that series was out-of-this-universe superb(ly unsettling).

reply

I still remember the score from that day. It was decided 4-3 in overtime.

Batman, Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles growing up. I still am a huge Batman fan

The X-Files and Die Hard as well
