What was the last "truly awful" movie or show that you watched?

Something genuinely horrendous. Not even "so bad that it's entertaining". Just plain bad.

For me, it's Altered Carbon season 2. I was warned by a lot of people to just avoid it. And man oh man, I wish I'd listened.

It was worse than I imagined. The first season is one of the best darn sci-fi offerings I've ever consumed.

Season 2 was so bad that it genuinely made me angry 😆 . It's been a while since I've watched something that awful.

Wrote my whole feelings on the shows board a few days back.

Anyways, what about y'all?

For 2023 - Insidious: The Red Door was abysmal to me, could not be bothered to crawl through the tepid dialogue and contrived plot-building. The Elevator Game, that was a cheap, gimmicky, thoughtless, soulless commercial money-grabber, ironically just as cringe as the guy in the beginning leading the team or whatever. For less recently published flicks - Vampiyaz (2004), laughable hiphop horror about horrors, just plain unwatchable, and The Green Elephant (1999) a Russian experiment that falls completely flat on its face, failing to investigate anything effectively other than how convicts react when they throw their own turds at each other.

Saw a trailer for The Elevator Game and my word, it look horrendous. Couldn't even finish the trailer.

Could barely finish them, so boring, matter of taste maybe.

I actually enjoyed that one. It was so hilariously bad that it genuinely made me laugh out loud & also physically cringe in parts.

I saw that one on Redlettermedia's Best of the Worst on Youtube. I think that was the best way to watch that movie.

Maybe not truly awful but I didn't like Wonder Woman 1984 (2020). The first movie is good but this one is just a mess.

The last truly terrible movie I watched recently was Smiley (2012). It was still on my watchlist and so I just watched it and it was very bad

And as for TV shows I wouldn't say truly awful but pretty average was The Mandalorian Season 3 the weakest one

Oh ya, Mando season 3 was below par. You'd think they switched writers or showrunners but nah

The same people that made the first 2 seasons are also responsible for season 3.

What are you talking about? Dread Central called it "The scariest film of the past decade". While another review says, "You may not sleep for weeks". Haha

I always laugh at horror movies that are reviewed or marketed as "the scariest bla bla bla you'll ever see". It's almost always bullshit.
