reply

No but it looks like fun

I've been skydiving though. Jumped out of a plane from 14,000 feet when I lived in Michigan.

It was pretty surreal passing through actual clouds. ☁️

Wow cool

Did you go solo or were you strapped onto someone else?

reply

Non-tandem (solo). I had my own parachute but I had two people on each side of me guiding me and holding onto my arms.

Once I got closer to the ground, they released and I was left on my own. Deployed my own parachute and all.

Yonge Street - Toronto 🇨🇦

Some of Charlie Chaplin's early silent movies were filmed here, including "The Tramp". Also some of the Bronco Billy silent as well..

Chicago (live there myself, now)

reply

Not Chicago. California, SF Bay Area.

Parts of Terminator 2, & American Graffiti 2 were also filmed here.

reply

Before that, CC filmed in Chicago.

Where in the bay ? I used to live in the city, Sutter & Octavia. Beautiful area, between Japantown & Pacific Heights.

reply

East Bay Area. Roughly half way between Oakland, & San Jose. Essanay had a 2cd Studio here.

The studio was founded in 1907 in Chicago, and later developed an additional film lot in Niles Canyon, California. (Present day Fremont)

reply

Love the bay, miss it.
