Three is too few. I hold this guy in high regard, he’s to movies what Stephen King is to novels, lots of work and much of it very good to excellent.

Yeah, ET and Empire Of The Sun were excellent and I’ve seen them both lots of times. A ‘top 3’ with a director like Spielberg is impossible.

Very hard to pick 3 as I would rate most of his films are either a 9 or 10.

In other words, most of them are tied for the number 1 slot.

It was easy for me to pick the first 2, on the battle for third place I debated between Jurassic Park and Saving Private Ryan.
