And again this time you went straight to the top 20.

reply

You can't omit the Bee Gee's from the 1970's.

reply

I can and I will. Pop fodder.

reply

Not a big Brittany Spears fan, but you can't deny her presence in the 00's.

reply

I put her in the 90s.

I decided to put each artist in the decade the were born musically or they debuted. So I got Britney in the 90s list plus she is part of my ultimate top 20 list

reply

Oops. Missed that.

reply

Don’t worry and are you going to make your own list?

Again first separate them by decade you can even make a top 10 for each decade and then sadly just make some cuts for the top 20.
For example spice girls are in my 90s list but didn’t make the cut for the top 20 list.

reply

I would add to OP list

The late, great Prince would absolutely have to be one of the 80s definers. I have him at #2, only behind Michael Jackson.

Fade into you by Mazzy Star is one of the theme tunes of the 1990s.
