They were kinda fun before the age of the Internet.

Nowadays, youtubers do a much much better job on covering bad movies, shows & performances.

Especially ones who do it in humorous ways.

These "awards" just feel unnecessary at this point

It's meant to be humorous.

Halley Berry and Sandra Bullock both saw the fun in it and accepted their "awards" in person.
