Strange story.
It’s terribly sad.

Losing one’s spouse must be one of the worst things possible.

Best of luck to him, that was his Lady and it’s got to hurt badly to lose her forever.
It is a tad creepy but I don’t mean to beat the guy up for getting a bit weird with his grief, good luck to him finding another Lady to occupy his time.

Agreed.

Grief can beat the ever loving hell out of a person. We’ve all experienced it, it can take years to leave that grief behind us.

If a wax dummy of his deceased wife gets this guy through the day who the hell are we to chuck rocks at him?

Great novel and movie👍

I love my tiny, mean black girly, she was so neglected before I rescued her that she misbehaves a lot. She bites pretty hard! You can take a dog out of the the shelter but you can’t take the shelter out of a dog.

But when she goes she’s gone.

I’ll feel horrible for a few weeks and then get another little beast that thinks it owns my house. It will probably tear up my hands and coat as well.

My little critter is only getting one second chance at a life though. She’s small and she had been neglected before we took her in from a dog rescue place.

Good Lord is she a mean little slip of a thing, she thinks she owns my house and she will violently tear your hands apart if you pet her when she wants to be alone. She’s an angry lunatic, I call her Aileen Wuornos sometimes when she gets real nasty and mean.

This little Doggie of mine is a 23 pound maniac, no cloning for her, nobody would want her.

We love her despite her angry fits though. And she is a fantastic guard dog, a ninja couldn’t sneak into my house with this lunatic prowling ‘her home.’

You know low, there have Bern a lot of movies about men who find a woman who looks just like their deceased beloved.

She always disappoints or betrays him, because only a crazy person would think that having someone or something that looks like the beloved, means that there's any love there.
