shareOh I actually like that. Kidding obviously but I feel like it can't be that bad or no one would work for them. I've asked Uber drivers what it's like and they all say they really like the job
shareA "really good job" when you're poor is any job that will hire you. The issue with independent contractor companies is that they're specifically designed to subvert employment mandates requiring benefits for full time employees. When you consider that the "good deal" you get is due to cutting out the legal legislation (such as all taxis requiring registered drivers and some require a barrier separating the driver from the passenger) then perhaps you should be complaining about the legal legislation rather than praising companies for figuring ways around it.
shareI think Uber drivers would be better off delivering pizzas for Dominos. You dont deal with any passengers, you are still just driving around, you still get lots of tips, and my local Dominos pays 10 hourly wage on top of you keeping all your tips.
shareI prefer doing uber more than doing Door dash. Its not my main job i use it to supplement my income.
And delivering for Dominos won't work for me since it's a fixed schedule.
Uber is 24/7 and you can cut it off and on as you please, but Dominos isnt as fixed as you think. Drivers come and go by their own availability. The people cooking the pizzas are the ones who follow a more rigid shift.
I'd just rather have a closed box of food in my car than a living human being that I have to watch close and be responsible for their safety.

When I don't feel like dealing with people I do Door dash or grub hub but you make money faster with uber and you can get bonuses for doing quests. Like last weekend I did 10 rides and got a 100 bucks from uber, and you dont have to get out of your car
