Will you refuse the COVID-19 vaccine?

reply

As long as my doctor's say it's safe with the meds I've been on, no way.

reply

Anyone who refuses the vaccine should be denied a hospital bed and ventilator if they contract the virus.

reply

I'm way ahead of you. I had the virus in April last year and I refused to see a doctor at the time because I didn't want to end up in hospital on a ventilator. And I won't bother with the vaccine now because having had COVID-19 and recovered from it is the best vaccination available.

reply

It depends. I totally acknowledge that the vast majority of people who contract the virus only show minor symptoms and sometimes none at all, but there are those who get hit full force and even die. My brother didn't need a ventilator, but he had a severe case as a healthy 35 year old. And then there's the question of spreading it. If you work around the public or have family members who are in the high risk category, you should get one.

I haven't had a flu shot in almost a decade, but I'm going to get the covid vaccine simply out of an abundance of caution and because my parents are almost 70.

reply

I'm not against other people getting the vaccine necessarily, but I understand why many people are cautious about it. It's a new kind of vaccine using new technology and it has been rushed through. So I get why some people might want to sit the first few rounds out and wait and see what happens to the guinea pigs.
