Which filming locations have you visited?

Here's my list.

1) Home from Home Alone
2) Lighthouse from Aquaman (worked as security during shoot)
3) Seinfeld apartment in Los Angeles
4) Mathew Broderick's apartment in Cable Guy (by accident, I was there and recognised it)

I live close to the house that Lucio Fulci filmed The Beyond (1981) in, so I’ve been inside it before. I also frequently travel the elevated highway from the scene with the blind girl and her dog in the film.

can't really call this visiting, but i live in the building where a good bit of the 2007 thriller 'the lookout' was filmed. i lived in the building at the time, and actually disrupted the filming the last night they were shooting. they were trying to get some exterior shots done, and the music i was playing in my suite was getting picked up by their mikes, so some poor guy had to go around all the suites until he found me, at which time he nicely asked me to cool it on the tunes.

some of capote was shot in and around my neighborhood as well. there's a scene where it's implied capote hooks up with a random guy after seeing him walk into a bar - that bar is a block or two away from my building.

i guess i'm giving away a lot of details about where i live, but i'm not interesting or exciting enough to stalk, i figure.

I find your comments about The Lookout interesting because I'm in Kansas, where the story supposedly takes place and now discover it was actually filmed in Canada. I think I even did a search once, trying to determine where that town was supposed to be so you've got nothing to worry about pertaining to where you live. It seems to be well obfuscated.

i took a look at the lookout's wiki page, & i see they actually name my apartment block as one of the filming locations, so it's out there for all the world to see!

I watched that movie twice and I think it was during the second time that I became curious enough to try and determine where that town was located. I seem to remember that I had it narrowed down to somewhere in the northeastern part of the state, close to the state line with Missouri.

Come to think of it, your comment about the movie Capote was also surprising to me. The scenes in that looked very authentically Kansas to me. I just assumed it had all been shot on location here.

The house used in Black Christmas 1974
I visited a number of the sites used in Niagara 1953
The Changeling 1980 was shot at University of Toronto. I was in the classroom where George C Scott gives a lecture.

"Hello Dolly, 1969."

Garrison landing on the Hudson stood in for Yonkers.
I have pictures. It was a Sunday morning, and they weren't filming that day. Got to walk around the "set dressed" streets. They were stenciling the blacktop streets to look like brick.

Would have dropped dead had I run into Streisand. 😲

"Nobody's Fool," (1994) Much of it was filmed in my home town and surrounding areas.

I live in a town where lots of filming happens so none of that really counts. But I have visited the Los Angeles Arboretum many times which has the mansion and lagoon seen in the opening of Fantasy Island.
