You have to remember this is early 70’s Italian and has a certain flavor that takes getting used to.

Have you ever seen Layer Cake, 2004? It's not Mafia, but I believe it's the most important and well made and entertaining crime film since Goodfellas.

Layer Cake was a really good one
You might enjoy The Gentlemen...it has a fine cast and a very entertaining crime story as well

I loved A Bronx Tale but to each their own

The Friends Of Eddie Coyle was a fine look into the collapsing world of a low level Boston Mafia guy facing heavy gun dealing charges AND starring Robert Mitchum at his best... it was very well directed by Peter Yates who did a couple of other good movies, check it out Amigo👍

I saw Lillo Brancato outside one of my favorite Pizzarias on a few occassions...he was a real asshole, just faking the whole 'tough-guy' shouting into his phone act...he's a despicable cop killer turd👎
