I'm sick of people who keep saying that other people are so selfish, doublefaced when in fact they are same

F-cking hypocrites!!

Not only regular peope, but media and plenty of Internet topics have same question.

It is what is. Why can't people accept it? We are ALL hypocrites at times. Someone is more, someone else atleast has moral line. Ofc. we only hang out with friends who are in similiar financial situation. Ofc. any human being will felt jelaous if his friend even family achieve something monumental.

Generally speaking they are not being honest with themselves, as in they are not even aware they are also deficient

E.g.
People that blame others for their issues that they face, it removes blame from their own actions.
Kids do it, and quite often some humans never grow out of it or develop / refine their personality, ever.
Over time it leads to a large ego, which is essentially a detachment from the objective reality we all share

There are various reasons for it, media, parenting (parents knowing fuck all, so the kids know fuck all) then people stay in their comfort zone their whole life.

Just concentrate on yourself, be positive and the best version of yourself, be kind to others and just be happy. Because after all these people are not happy, they lie to themselves because deep down they know they are shit (subconsciously)

And that's the reason why they lash out all the time which shows up as hypocritical, ties in with them wanting to fit in also. So they will say something they think is trendy, so they obtain social acceptance, because deep down they know they have nothing interesting or unique to say, because they NEVER developed a personality

Great analysis. I agree with most of it. I do not agree with being kind. I think it's best to being natural in every situation. Be fair, but tough. Be too nice, and unfortunately people will walk all over you. I know this from my experiences.

reply

Oh yeah, def have your boundaries to not get walked over

Don't be nice, because its the "correct" thing to do either or because you think you might get something from it, be nice because of how it makes you feel.
Guess my point for originally saying it, is don't let them get you down, that's what they want, they know they cant get to your level, so they need to drag you down into the mud in order to interact with them, they want you to get dirty with them.

It's a hard tightrope to balance

Edit - Social media is also the reason why things are so toxic now all the time, people have been dragging down others for past 10 years on it, its like a vortex, and it bleeds through into real life

Apsolutely true. I just can't believe it how low someone can fall only to make you nervous. For example, did I ever felt jelaous - YES, did I ever insult that person - NO. It's simply not my character. In contrary, it only give me motiv to work harder and achieve more. Hell, I can say my parents and sister are clearly jelaous of me. Sad, sad story. But, I understand that.

I'm being nice to people who DESERVED to be treatedly nice. Nobody else.

Where would Moviechat be without its sock puppets.

reply

I was gonna ask if this was Moviebuff. It’s the same sunny disposition anyways.

reply

I'm not normally very good at spotting socks.

reply

I've got a bunch of them following me around on Moviechat so I get lots of practice.

reply

The same works for people who accuse other people of being ignorant. They're often more ignorant themselves.

reply

I see beauty and generosity and I see hard work.

reply

It's called "projection".
