Funny fact: I'm finding that novels aimed to females seem to be the only ones that aren't invaded by woke feminism😂

Talk about irony...

I have been checking some Urban Fantasy novels. The more known series here is the Dresden Files. It's very well written, it has an amazing worldbuilding... and after a few novels it goes full woke. You know how it works: white males are either retarded, corrupt or psychopaths. Women are either poor innocent victims regularly assaulted by evil white males, or super-badass way smarter and more efficient than the useless male counterparts. Only worthy males are the standard white knight main character, who constantly feels guilty (if you're a white male and you're not in a constant state of guilt, that means you're evil!) and the usual diverse non-white ones. You know the drill: non-whites are good! whites are bad!

So I gave a chance to some different Urban Fantasy series, and I'm now fully immersed with the Mercy Thompson series, by Patricia Briggs, and The Others series, by Anne Bishop, which are quite popular in that genre. While they can't be considered romance novels, they're clearly aimed to female readers. I'm very pleasantly surprised by the quality, though.

The best of it: they have almost 0% feminism and 0% politics. It's quite a surprise, to find that last decade novels aimed to female readers are the ones that are not drenched in woke feminism...

sounds like immunity

Tell that to Harry Potter author. No one is immune.

reply

She forgot the Holy Rule: you're immune... until you have a conflict with some other special group that has a bigger victim card than you. Rowling forgot that while women have the golden victim card, blacks and trans have the platinum one.

what an odd preoccupation/observation.

not having a vagina, i am usually at least a bit hesitant at discounting the worldview of a gender i do not inhabit, lacking their individual/collective life experience, as i suppose the main constraint.

having said that, some of it I do find grating. but as a man, again, i have to acknowledge there is a part of that evaluation i am lacking.

Oh, you're starting your transition, are you?

Only you'll be a Lady, not like those feminist bitches.

Look, I'm equally comfortable watching a match with some colleagues and some good beers, or having a coffee and talking about relationships and feeling with a female friend. I can enjoy a good slasher and then a martial arts movie, and then a romantic comedy. I always enjoyed chic-lit novels and authors like Marian Keyes (the genre has grown repetitive and boring, though). While I am hetero, a good percentage of my friends are bi, gay or lesbian. To say it bluntly: I never had a fucking problem with my female side.

So, how to say this? When you tried to shame my "macho pride" or whatever shit like this... well, I guess you didn't choose the right person.

---

An observation, though. For some reason, wokes think they're related to classic liberals (even though I don't see any fucking relation between them). In their mind, wokes see non-wokes as some kind of "macho men" that spend their time either raping women or shaming men for not being enough "macho".

Meanwhile, in the real world, last years, the only shaming attempts I've seen for allegedly not being enough "macho" came from... wokes like you.

Which btw supports my theory that wokes are not the new liberals. You're the new Christian fundamentalists.

I should have known better than to troll people with no sense of humor.

Anyway, the real reason that books written for women don't include feminist rants is:

Because women don't need to have feminism explained to them.

What you did there was trying to bully me into shaming. It didn't work with me, but it could have worked with a less self-confident person.

Perhaps you find bullying funny, but that's doesn't qualify as "sense of humor". At least, not as a healthy person sense of humor.

Anyway, the real reason that books written for women don't include feminist rants is: Because women don't need to have feminism explained to them.

Let me highlight that sentence: "because women don't need to have (woke) feminism explained to them.

Thank you for that unconscious slip. I'll use it when some other woke states that Hollywood movies don't have a woke agenda.
