Beards were fashionable in the 19th Century.

The hippie era ended with the 1980s.

I don't know why so many celebrities and pro athletes seem to think facial hair is trendy. Or why others feel the need to emulate this look (Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau is one of the latest to jump on the bandwagon).

This is 2020, not 1820. Or 1969.

I once managed to avoid purposefully cutting a single hair on my face for five years. By the end of it, it had overstayed its welcome and I cut it all off at five years to the day. I've maintained a close trimmed beard ever since. (You wouldn't want to see me without facial hair.)

You guys think thats itchy try not shaving your leg hair for a month...

reply

Shave my legs once a week. I like the feeling of it and it helps stay cool in the summer.

MY BEARD IS A PART OF ME...HAS BEEN FOR YEARS...I SHORTEN THE SIDEBURN AND CHEEK PORTIONS,BUT THE GOAT PIECE IS PRETTY LONG...I DO SHAVE MY MUSTACHE AREA AND HEAD THOUGH...NOTHING ITCHES

reply

If you're gonna do it, do it now, during the summer.

I finally shaved off my head a few years ago. You can notice the difference in temperature. It feels worse during the winter (colder 😟), but better during the summer (colder 😊)

It feels like the best a man can get.

It's still summer and don't get why anyone would have a full beard this time of year as its just too damn hot. I don't mind the five o' clock shadow look on occasion but I still shave a couple of times a week and no I don't look like a 12-year old boy.

I tend to feel better. I only grow it at times because I can't be bothered shaving. That happens more often since working from home.
