*** BAKER'S DOZEN - Movies where the central character doesn't appear in the movie (or doesn't appear until the very end) ***

The central character in the movie, the most important character, he (or she) doesn't appear in the movie, or at least doesn't appear until the very end.

1. The Sons of Katie Elder (1965) - Katie Elder

EDIT I changed the topic to 'doesn't appear (or doesn't appear until the very end)' since the original 'doesn't appear' is gonna be (probably) too difficult.

2. Waiting for Guffman (1996) - Guffman

That looks like a parody of Waiting for Godot

The title absolutely is a reference to the famous play. I haven't seen or read the play but I believe the similarity ends there (the title).

They are both absurd in their own ways, but they are very, very different ways.

It's valid. But don't add two movies in a row. The usual rule is that you have to wait at least for another person to add a movie before adding another one.

reply

Iā€™m sorry. šŸ˜•
How do I find out what the rules are?

reply

It's simple.
-It's usually movies, though sometimes shows are allowed.
-You don't add two movies in a row.
-It's advisable to include the year between parentheses. That way it's easier to google it. Some people use these threads to discover movies they didn't know.
-The user that starts the thread uses to be the one that decides whether the movie is valid or not. I almost decided that 'Usual Suspects' wasn't valid, but since it's a difficult topic, I decided to give it a pass.
-The one that posts the 13th movie (the baker's dozen) is the one that starts a new thread (unless he gives up the turn).
