Some of these directors have done some good movies in between their bad streak, but overall their more recent films haven't been up to par with what they've done previously.

Woody Allen.

Repellent private life aside, I can't believe he's been able to get his last 30 years worth of films funded. He's had a couple of minor hits at best, and no good films.

I've never been a fan of Woody, but I have seen a regression in his later films.

My brain does funny things sometimes and I just read this as dictators you are no longer a fan of. I was really interested in which dictators were liked in the first place. I was a little disappointed when my brain read it correctly.
