Favorite anthology movie?

Trick r' Treat and Wild Tales are the standouts for me.

And, holy shit, I just looked at a list of anthology movies, and I saying that it's dominated by horror movies would be an understatement. I guess the genre lends itself well to the style, but it's surprising just how few non-horror anthology movies there are

I WILL BE THE FIRST TO SAY.....CREEPSHOW.

Black Sabbath (1963) with Boris Karloff.

Creepshow is definitely one of my favorites. I also really like After Midnight.

Heavy Metal (1981)

Wild Tales is the only anthology movie I liked.

Twilight Zone the Movie (1983)
Southbound (2015)
V/H/S/2 (2013)
Coffee and Cigarettes (2003)
Mystery Train (1989)
and although I haven't seen it in years and it's probably horrible, I really liked Amazon Women on the Moon (1987) when I was a kid

Also, Pulp Fiction is a bit of an anthology too, so I'd put that on here

i never really thought of mystery train as anthology, but seeing you post it here i realize that this is exactly what it is. how silly of me not to have realized that.

wild tales is absolutely great. i would probably put that at the top for myself. at least that's my first response without much reflection.

for horror, i rate southbound the highest.

if you squint a little and don't think about it too much, todd solondz' weiner dog is an anthology movie, sort of, and i like that quite a bit too.
