It’s obviously their way of using emotional manipulation to obtain the popular vote, likewise with their promises to lift the disenfranchised minorities up from despair but none of that matters compared to the real issues on the world stage. If republicans vote with their wallets democrats vote with their fickle emotions.

I rewatched The Departed (06) the other night
I've been up to Boston a couple times and they really do talk like that...it's pretty funny to hear those Boston guys going on and on lol
Aside from the fantastic cast and proper story pacing I really found Mark Wahlberg better than I remembered
I think that guy has the mojo and we will see much more from him

Fine cast, good story but no big surprises...
Witherspoon was lovely ( of course!) but I think Petersen in the dad roll should have battered Marky Mark to death with a golf club or something similar...I am very disappointed in
that dad!

Well of course! They've gotta protect their phoney baloney jobs by faking like they care about social issues, and the moment they finish making up some new, useless law, they go back to partying, vacationing, and the country club with their rich friends.
