My predictions:
Best Actor? Joaquin Phoenix, Joker
Best Actress? Renee Zellweger, Judy
Supporting Actor? Brad Pitt, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Supporting Actress? Laura Dern, Marriage Story
I'd love to see Joaquin Phoenix and Laura Dern to be nominated. They deserve it. They even deserve to win

BEST ACTOR:
Antonio Banderas - Pain and Glory (even though Phoenix was fairly better in Joker,but I just don't see Academy give best actor for playing Joker)
BEST ACTRESS:
Amy Adams - The Woman in the Window
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR:
Robert Downey Jr. - Avengers: Endgame
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS:
Laura Dern - Marriage Story
The Woman in the Window isn't coming out until next year. And there is no chance Robert Downey Jr will get nominated for Avengers: Endgame.
shareAlso RDJ was not a supporting actor. He was like THE main character in Endgame.
shareI always found whole Avengers to be ensemble movies with no clear lead.
shareAnd Disney is pushing him for supporting actor. I might sound like a conformist Fan but I’d be excited if he just gets nominated and doesn’t win. For me he wins with just getting the nomination.
And if he doesn’t get nominated I’m happy too, he doesn’t need an Oscar to know he did great in the MCU critics and fans praised him equally and left his mark on this franchise.
So Oscar or not I’m happy for him
Add to that, it hasn't even completed production yet, so it's not like this is the common case of a film having a limited premiere at the end of the calendar year to qualify for awards.
