Yes it is, and don't feel too bad about not "getting it". I would guess that two thirds of the people who saw it did not
"get it". You really should give it another viewing. You might be surprised.
And Kubrick himself has said that it's up to the individual to decide its meaning. He also said it's more of an emotional
and intellectual experience than a movie.
